Founder & lead teacher
Gabriel Azoulay has been teaching yoga since 1996 — thirty years across continents, traditions, and lineages. In the mid-2000s he trained directly under three of the most consequential teachers of the modern era: Sri K. Pattabhi Jois in Mysore (Ashtanga), B.K.S. Iyengar in Pune, and Pichest Boonthume, the Thai Massage master in Northern Thailand whose teachings he still studies today. He spent close to two years practicing daily with Tim Miller, visited Krishnamacharya's house, and spent time at the Osho center. His training is not from one lineage but from the seams between several.
In 2007 he built Absolute Yoga's first teacher training program in Bangkok, then went on to found BikYasa Yoga — an original style fusing Bikram's Hot 26 with Vinyasa flow, taught entirely through scripted verbal dialogue with no demonstration. He registered H3 Yoga School with Yoga Alliance to deliver 200hr, 300hr, and 500hr certifications; he is himself an E-500 RYT. The Joint Dialogue Method, his proprietary therapeutic framework integrating movement, touch, and verbal communication, came out of decades of clinical work with students recovering from chronic joint and connective-tissue conditions. He has authored five books on teaching, the most recent on voice-led instruction.
What makes his teaching distinctive is the synthesis — Ashtanga's discipline, Iyengar's precision, Yin's fascial intelligence, Thai's energy work, and BikYasa's verbal craft taught as a single coherent map for serious students and the teachers who train them. Khanom Yoga Retreat Center, which he has operated on Khanom Beach since 2012 in partnership with Aava Resort & Spa, is where that map gets walked in real time. Hundreds of certified instructors trace their training back to a room he was in the front of.
Philosophy
How we think about practice.

In partnership with Aava
Why the venue matters.
[Placeholder: 1–2 paragraphs on the Aava Resort & Spa partnership — how the partnership came about, what Aava brings, why the venue matters to the practice. The fact of the partnership is confirmed; the story behind it needs Gabe's voice.]
